Accessibility
Everyone should be able to read and use this site, including people who see less sharply, use a screen reader or zoom the page. We aim for WCAG 2.2 level AA, and AAA for text contrast.
What we’ve done
- Body text is at least 18 pixels, in a typeface built for legibility, with generous line spacing.
- Reading text has a contrast of at least 7:1 on every background.
- The page reflows when you zoom. We test at 200% and on a 320-pixel-wide screen.
- Everything works with a keyboard, with a clear focus outline.
- Every form field has a visible label. Errors are written in words, not just colour, and screen readers announce them.
- Buttons and choices are at least 44 pixels tall.
- Images have text alternatives. Nothing moves, flashes or plays sound by itself, and we respect your reduced-motion setting.
- Any audio we add comes with a full transcript.
How we test
Before each release we run Lighthouse and axe-core in Chromium on desktop and mobile, then check every page with a keyboard alone. Automated tools catch only some problems, so reports from people matter.
Known limits
- The printable questions are a tagged PDF. The same questions are also on a plain web page.
Report a problem
If anything is hard to read or use, email [email protected] with the page and what happened. We reply within five working days and fix what we can.
